I Dig this New Home Owner Tip

Scenario: A young couple moves into a new home.  With the nice weather, they decide to work that old yard over and transform their just purchased nest into their little oasis in the city.  They plan to plant a few trees which in turn will provide shade, equaling energy savings.  A nice picket fence would add magic. That makes the list.  A sand pit for the kid on the way...the list grows.

But...Are your clients down with the 811?

~Tip~

Let your new home buying clients know that new yards have hidden underground cables, pipes, wires and who knows what.  Blind digging is dangerous and costly.

~Solution~

TheNational Dig-Safely Hotlinecan be reached simply by dialing811.  The hotline will contact your local utilities who will then visit the new home, often within a day or two. They'll flag any hidden dangers and your new friends will avoid costly repairs.

The bottom line?  It's a free service, keeps them safe, you look like a genius, and they will avoid fines... in many states, it's the law to call 811 before digging begins.

In any case, it's a wise move and I hope it helps~

Cheers~
