Finding A Home For FIDO In Northern Colorado
My clients are asked in the initial meeting with me if they have a furry family member we need to consider. (And I don't mean Grandpa!)....This knowledge helps me in locating the right property in the right city. Some cities in the Denver Metro and North have bans on breeds. Clients relocating to Colorado need to know where these are so time is not wasted viewing properties in towns they can't live.
Follow this link for information on Colorado Laws on breed banshttp://www.teampitafull.org/BreedSpecificLegislationInfo.html.
If townhomes or Condos are in your property search,be alert to the HOA covenants that have breed restrictions. Last week I came across one that only allowed cats. Other restrictions I have seen included Labrador Retrievers. Yep Labs. The perpetual 6 year olds that have been the top US family dog for years and years. Make sure you have a Real Estate Agent that checks on the HOA covenants before you view any properties.
For outside activities when searching for a new home, Colorado does have some great dog parks in Boulder,Longmont,Fort Collins and other Northern Colorado places. Here is a good website that has a list of dog parks for FIDO in Colorado and beyond.
if you are looking for a new home for FIDO and yourself feel free to call me I would love to help!
