Is Denvers Residential Real Estate Market Cooling Off

DENVER BUSINESS JOURNAL - Despite another month of record-setting prices in the Denver metro, a new report from the Denver Metro Association of Realtors said the Denver housing market might be "cooling off."

The report indicated that in June, there were 6,197 active listings, up 10 percent over the previous month but 20 percent less than the previous year.

Persistent high prices are likely the cause of the increase in listings, according to DMAR.

"The month-over-month increase in listings is likely due to seasonal increases and a general 'cooling' due to record high pricing," said Anthony Rael, chairman of DMAR's Market Trends Committee, in a statement.
